The stunning Vase Of Diane Vases, a rare $2.5 million bottle of the famed Vase In The Rain by Diane VASE, is set to hit the auction block next week for $2 million.
The wine bottle was discovered by the Swiss collector, Jean-Pierre Baccarat Rouge, while he was collecting vintage wine in Paris in 1976.
Baccarat bought the bottle in 2006 and brought it back to the United States where he placed it in a vault for the next five years.
After the bottle’s discovery, it went on to become one of the most expensive items in the world and is now one of only nine of its kind.
It is a rare and beautiful piece that has been on display in the Baccara estate in Switzerland for almost 50 years, making it one of just nine of them.
As part of its auction, Baccaras will auction off all its remaining inventory to pay for repairs to the vault and to upgrade the wine cellar and storage space.
There is a lot of history in the vault.
Baccaro, the family patriarch, built it in 1976 and it was the place where Jean-Claude Vase’s father would store his wine before passing it on to his two sons, Philippe and Jacques.
Vase Of Paris is said to be one of five or six of the same vases produced by Jean-Baccarons brother Jean-Philippe in the 19th century and in the 1930s, when the family began its successful wine making business in France.
In 2006, Boccars brothers bought the entire estate of the Boccaras Estate in New York, which is now the world’s largest wine estate, and the family has since continued to improve the property.
At $2M, the wine is among the most valuable items in Baccaron’s collection and was originally sold to Baccars in 2004.
This is a very rare wine and it is so beautiful that we have had people come up to us, like, ‘What the hell are you doing?’
I don’t know if you saw this, but it is a masterpiece, and it will never be replaced, he told the New York Times.
According to the auction house, the Bacarat family has not decided whether they will sell the wine or auction it off, but that they are hoping to do so next week.
We have had more than 2,000 people come to our auction, including the wine, in just two weeks, the auctioneers said.
While the price of the wine has not been disclosed, Bocaccarans brother Philippe, who has a small wine shop, has told the NY Times that it is in the “highest range.”
This bottle of a very important and expensive wine, I don´t know how much we will pay for it, Philippe said, according to the Times.
